Gundi, Cassandra and I took a trip to the Bauhaus in Dessau recently. It was amazing and completely intact. It was an incredible experience to visit the famous halls of so much great and influential design.    

Paris 2011

Below are some pics from a fabulous trip to Paris that we (Cassandra and me) took before meeting up with Gundi in Germany. Some notable spots–the girly La Duree, the still-under-construction Palais de Tokyo and the fabulous Merci. And yes we saw a rainbow while strolling on the Champs-Elysee! Can you imagine?!!

The art of conversation is an online exhibition of 20 design studios either based in London and Berlin showing their exchange of ideas and work. The participants include: Hort, Siggi Eggertson, and Multistorey.

This Los Angeles is having their first art opening tonight. It’s a group show that includes our friends Maya Hayuk and Florencio Zavala. Wish I could be there!

3-D illustrator

Sight Unseen has a nice post about Berlin-based 3-D illustrator Sarah Illenberger. She talks about her process and her use of tactile materials.


If you live in New York, I highly recommend going to see the exhibition slash paper under the knife, which is up at MAD until April 2010. Above is some wonderful work by Béatrice Coron and the second one I’m not sure of. The love, care and fragility of these objects will leave you in awe.
