Sister Corita Love

Just visited the Zach Feuer Gallery last Saturday to check out the always inspiring work of Sister Corita Kent. Her silkscreen prints just POP. I felt elated from looking at her work. This reminds me that I still need to read her and Jan Steward’s book: Learning by Heart: Teachings to Free the Creative Spirit.

Type as Nerve Wrecker

There must be a lot of type nerds reading the NY Times because one of the popular articles today is titled: Mistake in Typography Grate the Purists. I have to admit, I’ve gotten upset over bad letterspacing from everywhere–in subway ads, highway signs and especially movie titles.

NY Art Book Fair ’09

This is such a late post, but I wanted to share some photos from the NY Art Book Fair which was PS1 back in early October. It was a blast and more ‘art on paper’ oriented than in years past. Some great participants included Dexter Sinister, Ooga Booga and Lubok Verlag.
